Veer Passi is the Group CEO of Kalaam Telecom Group (Kalaam/Tawasul/Zajil) since 2010 and has over 25 years of experience in the global telecommunication industry.
As CEO, he has successfully led Kalaam’s transformation from a Prepaid Calling Card company in Bahrain to one of the Top 3 Data Service Providers in the GCC region with revenues exceeding US$ 100 mn , with licensed operations in Bahrain, Kuwait and KSA.

During his tenure, Kalaam has grown double digit in revenue and profitability and has emerged as a preferred Managed Service Provider for Enterprises, Public Sector & Wholesale Data carriers. Kalaam is currently uniquely positioned as both Service Provider as well as Systems Integration Partner for organizations driving their digital transformation journey through introduction of industry customized technologies like SDWAN, NaaS (Network as a Service), private & public cloud including AWS & Azure, security, IOT , UCAS and application stack.

Veer Passi has extensive experience in M&A and has led 4 acquisitions for Kalaam during the last 7 years, resulting in significant inorganic growth for Kalaam as well as making it a prominent regional operator in the MENA region with 55 point of presence in 22 countries.

Prior to joining Kalaam, Veer Passi worked with KPMG Dubai for 3 years as the Head of TMT advisory practice for the MENA region, leading various financial transformational engagements with large GCC telecom operators. Veer's telecom experience extends beyond the MENA region to include 5 years experience in some of the largest GSM and CDMA operators in India included Bharti Airtel Ltd and Reliance Communications Ltd.
