Nicholas has over 30 years of experience in international investment banking, private equity, and direct investment, with a strong focus on emerging markets, including Africa and the Middle East.  Previously Nicholas was the Managing Partner and Founder of Clarity Economic Consultancy, an international consultancy and investment firm.  During his career, Nicholas has served as the Chief Investment Officer for a $390 million strategic private equity fund backed by the Japanese Government and several Sovereign Wealth Funds and served as a director on numerous Boards.  Nicholas has considerable experience in providing strategic advice at senior levels, including, Board, Government and Regulator, he has also commentated on business affairs for the likes of the BBC, Financial Times, Euromoney, and Bloomberg.  Nicholas is the co-author of a Euromoney book on Islamic finance and holds a bachelor’s degree from Massey University, New Zealand and is a Massey Scholar.
