Massimo Fatato currently covers the Head of Networks for NTT Data UK&I position. He joined NTT DATA from HPE where he run the partner organisation for the Telco Business Unit in EMEA. Prior to that Massimo was Managing Partner in Cartesian, VP Telco BU in EMEA at Red Hat and General Manager for the HPE OSS and Orchestration business where he devised and executed the NGN OSS and Orchestration strategy for HPE. In this capacity, he was member of the TMF executive committee.

In HPE Massimo also covered the role of EMEA Network Sales Director for Service Providers where he oversaw the launch of the LAN Managed Flex Service with leading telecom service providers.

His previous engagements were in Accenture, where he translated consultative offerings into a catalog and related sales campaigns dedicated to the telecom segment and Cisco Systems both as Business Development Manager responsible for the Telco market segment in EMEA and as Sales Director EMEA for Cisco’s IP+Optical portfolio.

Massimo’s career began as a Systems Engineer at Telecom Italia where he led the design of its OSS, one of the first European carrier deployments, and at Nortel as System Engineer, Account Manager and Account Director.

Massimo holds a Telecommunication Master Degree from the University of Rome, a Specialisation in Telecommunications from the Polytechnic of New York, a MBA from Henley Management College and a Coaching Diploma from The Coaching Academy in the UK.
