Jennifer Smith
Jennifer L. Smith joined the Zayo Europe Advisory Board in March 2023, bringing with her extensive experience in financial leadership within the telecommunications and technology sectors.
Jennifer’s career spans over two decades, with key roles including Chief Financial Officer at Wildstone from August 2020 to May 2024, where she played a pivotal role in securing a landmark £350 million refinancing deal for outdoor media infrastructure and oversaw the company’s European expansion to Spain and GermanyPrior to that, she was the Chief Financial Officer at Dark Cubed, where she managed the finance function setup and led Series A fundraising.
At euNetworks, Jennifer held multiple leadership positions over six years, including Chief Financial Officer and Director of Corporate Development and Financial Planning & Analysis. Her strategic acumen facilitated numerous mergers and acquisitions, capital raisings, and long-term financial planning initiatives.
Jennifer’s earlier career includes significant contributions at NDS Limited, where she was instrumental in the company’s IPO preparation and subsequent $5bn sale to Cisco She has held various other corporate finance and commercial roles in industry and financial services.
Academically, Jennifer holds an MBA from INSEAD, and a BBA in Finance and Accounting with a minor in English Literature from Texas A&M University. She has also contributed to academia as a guest lecturer at City, University of London, teaching an MSc Entrepreneurship class focused on M&A and other exits.
Recognized for her contributions to the industry, Jennifer was awarded the 2018 Woman TMT M&A Leader of the Year by TMT Finance. Having also lived in five countriesacross North America, Asia, and Europe, Jennifer brings a global perspective to her roles.
Jennifer is passionate about leveraging technology to enhance human interaction and continues to influence the digital media landscape through her innovative approach and strategic vision.
