Carlo Maria Rossotto is Principal Investment Officer, Global Head, Telecom, Media and Technology Upstream at the International Finance Corporation. He is leading a global team of investment officers and industry specialists to originate and develop investments in the TMT sector in Emerging Markets. Earlier in his career, he was Global Lead for Digital Infrastructure at the World Bank. He has structured financing and advisory services in the TMT sector in Europe, Middle East, Africa, and East Asia. He coordinated the World Bank ECA/MENA ICT team for years. Carlo is a global authority on broadband and the digital economy. He advised policy makers during multiple client-facing engagements and represented the Bank at the G20 Digital Economy working group. Mr. Rossotto also worked at IADB and in management consulting, advising European tech firms. He holds post-graduate degrees in Economics and Business Administration from Bocconi University and in Financial and Commercial Regulation from LSE.
